This is such a cute, gorgeously illustrated book. Set in Paris, it follows a family of mice who run a restaurant famous for their soupe au fromage. A dictionary at the beginning of the book lists the definitions of the French words and phrases peppered throughout the book. The phrases are basic so it won't be difficult for children -- or the adults who read to them. This is a great companion for Ratatouille fans and kids who have an interest in cooking. Marie LeTourneau includes a recipe of the famous cheese soup so you and your budding chef can try it for yourselves at home. Bon appetit!
